We were commissioned to convert an 18th Century Grade II listed building in the centre of Ludlow into four apartments. The building was in a severely dilapidated state and involved protracted negotiations with the Planning and Conservation department to ensure that all consents were in place prior to work commencing.

The client is a friend of the practice and we enjoyed working closely with him to realise his vision for the building. This also gave us an opportunity to employ local craftsmen and artisans to ensure we achieved a high level of quality throughout.

The build involved working with the existing fabric of the building where possible, matching or replacing where required. We were successful in reinstating the building to its former condition whilst creating modern, comfortable apartments.

This project was awarded an 'Exemplary Award' by Ludlow Conservation Society.
